Adapter Lead Etech 10 amp to 15 Amp

Etech adapter lead to allow some heavy duty tools and appliances to connect to a standard 10 amp wall socket. Note this lead does not convert 10 amps to 15 amps - if the load appliance exceeds 10 amps (2300 watts) the circuit breaker will trip. Two versions are available:

• AL10-15-IP65M - for welders, compressors and motors (loads which have high starting current)
• AL10-15-IP65 - for all other loads

Features:

• Moulded 10 amp black male plug
• 15 amp orange female cord connector
• 10 amp circuit breaker, user resettable overload protection (M version is fitted with motor rated circuit protection)
• Weatherpoof rating IP65
• Approximately 2 metres long, custom lengths available

• Allows portable 15 amp devices to plug into 10 amp wall socket power supplies while ensuring the wall socket does not get overloaded

Examples of appliances which may be suitable to use with this lead:

• Ovens which may have a maximum load of 15 amps but can be run at a lower current draw
• Portable cooktops which have a maximum load of 15 amps but can be run at lower power by using less than all the elements
• Motors, compressors and welders that have higher starting current but run current is much lower (use AL10-15-IP65M)
